SousCal is designed as a prototype that uses your ingredient photo and meal preferences to generate recipe ideas. This page explains the basic data practices for testing the app.

Information you provide

You may provide ingredient photos, manually entered ingredients, and meal preferences. This information is used to create recipe options and step-by-step cooking help.

AI processing

SousCal sends recipe requests to a protected server-side AI service. API keys are not exposed in the browser. Do not upload photos or text that contain sensitive personal information.

Account use

SousCal uses your account to manage access, saved meals, and membership status. Recipe generation is based on the information you provide during each cooking session.

Storage

SousCal may store account details, membership status, recipe usage, and saved meal information needed to operate the app. Photos should only be used for recipe generation unless a future feature clearly says otherwise.

Safety note

SousCal can make mistakes identifying foods. Always review ingredients carefully, especially for allergies and dietary needs.
