SousCal is a prototype cooking assistant that helps you scan ingredients, choose meal preferences, and generate recipe ideas. By using SousCal or continuing with Google, you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to use SousCal responsibly.

Accounts and acceptance

You need an account to use SousCal. When you sign in or continue with Google, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and any safety rules shown inside the app. If you do not agree, do not use SousCal.

Recipe and nutrition estimates

SousCal may provide recipe steps, ingredient guesses, calorie estimates, and macro estimates. These are informational only and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your body, diet, allergies, medical needs, or kitchen. SousCal is not medical, nutrition, allergy, or food-safety advice.

Allergies and dietary safety

You are responsible for checking ingredients, labels, allergens, cross-contact risks, serving sizes, and substitutions before cooking or eating. SousCal may fail to detect or mention allergens including milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame, or other ingredients that may affect you. SousCal is not responsible for allergic reactions, illness, injury, or other harm related to recipes, ingredients, nutrition estimates, AI suggestions, or shared content.

Food safety

You are responsible for safe cooking practices, including washing ingredients, avoiding cross-contamination, cooking food to safe temperatures, checking expiration dates, storing food safely, and using your own judgment before eating anything.

Photos and inputs

If you upload or capture a photo, you confirm you have the right to use it. Do not upload sensitive personal information, private documents, or images of people who have not agreed to be included.

Shared recipe content

If SousCal adds public recipe discovery or shared recipe features, only share food-related content that you have the right to share. Do not share faces, private information, unsafe instructions, offensive content, or anything that violates another person's rights. SousCal may review, hide, remove, or limit shared content and reports at any time.

No guarantee and limitation of responsibility

SousCal does not guarantee that recipes, images, nutrition estimates, prompts, or shared content are accurate, safe, allergen-free, healthy, available, or appropriate for you. You use SousCal at your own risk to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Prototype availability

SousCal may change, break, or be unavailable while it is being tested. We may update these terms as the product develops.
